Histopathology revealed a chronic inflammatory infiltrate with abundant histiocytes that present the phenomenon of emperipolesis; and, immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of extranodal Rosai-Dorfman disease. The patient received metronomic chemotherapy and immunomodulatory therapy, a good clinical response was observed after three cycles of treatment.
