Abstract

A 36-year-old woman who went to the Emergency Service for nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, and did not mention ingesting 60 tablets of colchicine 0,5 mg. She was diagnosed with acute diarrhea and was discharged. She was readmitted the next day due to weakness and dizziness, manifesting the intake of colchicine. The evolution was torpid, dying three days after ingestion.
